This notice is about the website only. What the FINKI LIFE app does with your data is a different document: the Privacy Policy. They are kept apart because they describe different things, and merging them would make each harder to check.

0. Summary

This site is a set of pages: what the app is, what has changed in it, a guide for students, and the legal documents. It has no accounts, no login, no forms, no comments, and nothing to submit. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no cookies.

Two things are worth knowing, and both are below: the site is served by a hosting platform that sees ordinary web-request data, and on your first visit the site asks one outside service which country your internet connection is in, so it can open in Macedonian for a visitor in Macedonia.

1. Who is responsible

The site is run by an individual developer in North Macedonia ("the operator"), the same person who makes the FINKI LIFE app.

This notice is written to the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of North Macedonia (Закон за заштита на личните податоци, Official Gazette of RNM No. 42/2020 and its amendments). The Agency for Personal Data Protection (Агенција за заштита на личните податоци, AZLP) is the supervisory authority.

2. What the hosting platform sees

The site is static and is served by a website hosting platform, on servers outside North Macedonia, reached through a content delivery network with locations worldwide.

Loading any page necessarily tells that platform:

That is what every web server receives from every visitor; it is not something the site adds. The platform handles it under its own notice, as a processor acting for the operator and for its own security and abuse-prevention purposes.

The operator does not receive, read, store, or analyse any of it. There is no log the operator can open, no dashboard, no visitor count, and no report.

Legal basis: legitimate interests — serving a website at all.

3. The one request the site makes on your behalf

On your first visit, the site asks an internet-address lookup service which country your connection is in, so that a visitor in North Macedonia is shown the site in Macedonian without having to switch. Your browser makes that request directly, which means the service receives your IP address. It answers with a two-letter country code and nothing else. The site keeps the answer only in memory, for as long as the page is open.

That service is an independent controller for what it does with the addresses it receives, under its own notice. If you would rather it never happened, blocking it in your browser costs you nothing but the automatic language choice.

4. What the site stores in your browser

No cookies. The site sets none, for any purpose.

It stores one thing in your browser's own local storage, and only after you press the language switch yourself: which language you chose. It never leaves your browser, it is not sent to the operator or to anyone else, and clearing your browser's site data removes it. If storage is unavailable — a private window, or a browser set to block it — the site works normally and simply forgets your choice when you leave.

Nothing else is stored: no identifier, no visit history, no preferences beyond that one.

The site links to Google Play and to the App Store so you can install the app, and to a few FINKI, UKIM, and open-source pages. Following a link takes you to somebody else's site, which has its own notice and its own idea of what to collect. The operator has no control over any of them and no visibility into what you do there.

6. What the site does not do

No advertising. No analytics of any kind. No tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or session recording. No social-media embeds. No newsletter, no mailing list. No fonts, scripts, or images loaded from third-party servers — everything the page needs is served with it. Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone for their own purposes. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.

7. Children

The site is aimed at university students. It is not directed at children, asks for nothing from anyone, and holds nothing about anyone.

8. Your rights

Because the operator holds no personal data from your visit, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete — a request for a copy of "your data" would be answered with this sentence.

Your rights under the Law on Personal Data Protection still stand, and you may exercise them, or complain to the Agency for Personal Data Protection, at any time. Write to the address in section 1 and you will get an honest answer, including if that answer is that nothing is held.

9. Changes to this notice

If the site starts doing something this notice does not describe, the notice changes first. The version number and effective date at the top change with it, and what changed is recorded here.

Version 1.0 (12 September 2026) is the first version. The site had no notice of its own before it: the app's Privacy Policy covers the app, says so in its own first line, and was never a description of this website.
